When I was on #vocalrest I still had to have a show or two of MIX IT UP. Here’s what it was like with Jon at EPCOT. Enjoy!!

Have a great day ya’ll!!

I have been on #vocalrest since last Saturday Nov. 2 and all I must say is it has been an experience.  I never have had to do this before and it is very frustrating.  Sometimes I just want to open my mouth and communicate the way I always do but instead I have to write on a dry erase board.  Definitely have a new respect for those who cannot speak.  God bless you.  I am very grateful though however that there are other ways for people who can’t speak or hear to communicate.  Like sign language, etc…

I will be on #vocalrest until Tuesday so you won’t hear my voice as much til then.  But of course I have my blog and I have two episodes of Mix It Up that have been filmed that I am gonna be working on to fill the space as well.  One is from when I went home to Alabama and the other is an episode I filmed with my friend Jon while I have been on #vocalrest that is quite hysterical.  So be on the lookout.

In the meantime here is the episode of MIX IT UP titled #VOCALREST which oddly enough since the two part debut of the show on YouTube has had the most views haha also the trailer for my trip home for Alabama in a special MIX IT UP

GRAY IN OZ – Back on WordPress!!

Hello blogging world!!

First of all I have to say I am super excited to bring “Gray In Oz” back to WordPress.  Hopefully this is going to be a lot of fun over the coming days.

So I am really wanting to gain a little bit more of a following on the web.  From what I have noticed, there is no better way to do it than to have several platforms to get your voice heard.

I originated my blog “Gray In Oz” here on WordPress and have moved around a couple times since then.  After some research I have found that WordPress seems to be the most popular blogging site on the web.  So what better place to be right?

My goal for this blog is discovery and discussion.  I am a 25 year old guy who is a performer.  I am coming of age in a pretty important time in my country’s history.  Social media is taking over, the government is deciding what health care I need, terrorism is a regular occurrence, and political correctness is out of control.  I mean seriously, you can’t say anything anymore it seems without offending SOMEBODY.  It’s nuts.  The world is nuts  Things are changing by the second in the US and in the world.  I want to be informed, in the know, and involved in what’s going on.  I wanna ask questions and gain information so that I can develop my own views and opinions based on my upbringing and what I believe is right or wrong.  I want to discuss it with others.

Of course I want to be young and have fun as well.  So I am hoping that all of that will be apart of the return of this blog.

I am however not removing Gray In Oz from Tumblr.  This will be my main source or hub of everything if you will.  Tumblr will be a supplement to this as more of the fun side of Caleb, while this will be the more serious side.  I am not perfect, nor do I claim to be.  I strive for perfection, but I am definitely not perfect.

So now I reach out to you, the reader, the blogger.  Talk to me.  Give me some ideas.  Give me a topic to talk about.  I will be adding my own things as well.  I love however, to hear from others and have conversations.  The wannabe talk show host in me says all of this.  So let’s get talking!!

In the meantime go to my YouTube Channel and watch my new show, MIX IT UP, check out my Tumblr, and follow me on Twitter!!

TAKE A BOW – Season Two

TAKE A BOW is coming back for a second season in July!!

TAKE A BOW LogoTAKE A BOW is an endeavor that I embarked on back in May of 2008. I have always wished that I could have my own variety/talk show. I thought about it and I was like, I CAN have one. I can film it myself and post it online and hopefully people will watch. So I debuted my first episode on Monday May 26, 2008 on my old blog “Just A Ride” In all I taped 8 full episodes. They consisted of 6 full episodes, a Fourth of July special and 2 blooper shows. The Season Finale was a compilation of ALL the bloopers from Season One. It is quite funny if I say so myself haha. Then school started again and I had to go on break. I made several attempts throughout the break to do some special episodes for Halloween, Christmas and a New Year’s trip that I took to Nashville, but they ended up ultimately never working out because of time constraints.

But now it summer again. And it is time for a second season. I was going to start it in May and then take a break during my surgery and then come back, but prep for the surgery throughout the month of May prevented that from happening. So now throughout my jaw surgery recovery I am getting material together to begin Season Two in July. I am really excited and hopefully will have lots to talk about and some fun guests throughout the season. Right now I am scheduled to only upload one episode a week, but I hopefully will be able to squeeze in two, because I am changing the format somewhat.

Season One episodes were always about 15 minutes long. This brought me problems because I wasn’t able to upload them to YouTube. The only site that would upload videos that long was DailyMotion. So for season two I am going to try to keep the episodes within a ten minute window so that I can upload them to YouTube so that they can be seen my more people. Season One averaged about 200 viewers I think based on the view counts on the videos. So that isn’t too bad. But I hope to get more this season.

But anyways, that’s it for now. If you have any questions about the show or know of anything you would like to see from me on the show, please email me at takeabowshow@gmail.com and let me know. Also you can catch up on Season One here

I will leave you with the promo for Season Two featuring some of my fav clips from Season One.
